Pappu Yadav was born on 24th December 1967 at Khurda, Purnia, Bihar to Chandra Narayan Yadav. He got married with Ranjeet Ranjan and they have one son & one daughter.
He has completed his basic education at Supaul and Graduation in Political Science from BN Mandal University, Madhepura. And completed his Diploma in Disaster Management and Human Rights from IGNOU.
  • Pappu YadavWas elected   as member of Bihar Legislative Assembly from Singheshwarsthan, Madhepura in 1990 as Independent candidate.
  • In 1991, He became Member of Parliament from Purnia Constituency in 10th Lok sabha election.  And re-elected in 1996 11th Lok Sabha election & in 1999 13th Lok sabha election.
  • In 1999, He became Member of committee on Urban and Rural Development.
  • In 2002, He became member of committee on Petroleum & Natural Gas.
  • In 2004, He re-elected in 14th Lok Sabha election by bye-election.
  • In 2007, He became member of Committee on Urban Development.
  • In 2014, Yadav re-elected as Member of Parliament in 16th Lok Sabha. He defeated to Sharad Yadav. And became member of Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture.
